Bee Gold & Silver Metalluxe Limited Edition decks

Bee decks don’t need much introduction. For decades, Bee has been one of the most recognizable “table” decks in American card culture — especially in card rooms and casino-style play — thanks to its bold, borderless look and unmistakable Diamond Back pattern.

And that’s exactly why the Bee MetalLuxe editions caused such a stir when they released in 2023.

Today we’re making available a very limited quantity of two decks that were already considered hard to find: Bee Gold MetalLuxe and Bee Silver MetalLuxe. We didn’t “find them in a vault” — we simply came across an unexpected small allocation in the course of normal inventory and availability checks, and decided to list them for collectors who missed them the first time around.

A quick Bee refresher: what “Bee No. 92” means

When collectors say “Bee No. 92,” they’re usually talking about the classic Bee identity most players picture immediately: the Diamond Back design and the borderless (full-bleed) back. That borderless style is part of Bee’s appeal — it looks confident on the table, and it’s instantly “casino-coded.”

For collectors, Bee sits in a sweet spot: it’s mainstream enough to be culturally iconic, but specific runs and variations (especially premium treatments) can become surprisingly scarce.

What is MetalLuxe?

MetalLuxe is a specialty treatment that gives a deck a metallic, reflective effect — the kind of mirror-like shine you notice immediately when you tilt the cards under light.

Here’s the key difference compared to “regular ink” decks:

  • Standard decks: ink on paper stock. The look is mostly matte/satin depending on finish.
  • MetalLuxe decks: the design is printed in a way that allows a metallic layer to show through, creating that reflective, foil-like appearance across the back design.

In other words: the Bee Diamond Back pattern you already know is still the star — MetalLuxe just makes it behave like it’s lit from within.

Why Bee + MetalLuxe is such a good pairing

Bee’s Diamond Back pattern is geometric, repetitive, and high-contrast — exactly the type of design that “pops” when you add reflectivity. In spreads and fans, the pattern catches light differently across the surface, so the deck looks almost animated as it moves.

That’s why these decks appeal across multiple worlds:

  • Collectors who want premium Bee variants with true visual impact
  • Cardistry fans who love how reflective backs behave in motion
  • Magicians who want a statement deck that still feels like a real table deck
  • Gift buyers looking for “classic but elevated”

Gold vs. Silver: the aesthetic difference

Bee Gold MetalLuxe

Gold reads as warm, rich, and “high-roller.” Under light it has a dramatic glow that feels traditional and luxurious at the same time.

Bee Silver MetalLuxe

Silver reads cooler and cleaner — think “black & chrome.” It’s sleek, modern, and extremely crisp in fans and spreads.

Collector note: If you love matched sets, Gold + Silver together make a perfect display pair.

Care & handling tips for Metallic / MetalLuxe decks

Metallic treatments can be more visually sensitive than standard decks. If you want them to stay sharp, a few small habits help:

  • Wash and dry hands before use (finger oils show more on reflective surfaces)
  • Avoid rough tables — edge wear can show faster on premium treatments
  • Use a case if you’re storing them long-term (especially for display)
  • Rotate use — if you plan to play with them, keep a “daily driver” deck and let these be the special occasion pair

Availability: 2023 limited editions (and why they’re here now)

These decks were released as 2023 limited editions. We are not presenting this as a new run, and we’re not implying a reprint. We simply came across a limited, unexpected quantity and decided to offer them while we can.

If you missed them in 2023 — or if you’re building a Bee variants shelf — this is one of those moments where it’s worth paying attention.

Card Chronicles note: We’ll always prefer good information over hype. But we’ll also be honest: with limited editions, availability can be brief — and once this small quantity is gone, we don’t expect to see it again soon.
