First released as “Capitol No. 188” by Russell & Morgan in 1886, these decks were originally produced to surpass even the legendary Bicycle brand—boasting better stock, stronger durability, and more ornate backs meant for connoisseurs.

The Capitol design draws inspiration from the iconic US Capitol dome, Lady Liberty, and lush vinework, echoing Victorian grandeur and the nation’s proud imagery. Relaunched by USPCC as a modern collector series, Capitol now stands as an artistic bridge between classic American style and contemporary premium quality.
