The Theory11 Avengers Purple Edition is the original and flagship deck of the Avengers: Infinity Saga collection, released in April 2021 to celebrate the epic conclusion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's defining chapter. The Infinity Saga Begins
This is where it all started. Theory11, in collaboration with Marvel Studios, partnered with acclaimed designer Ty Mattson (Mattson Creative) to bring the eleven-year journey of Iron Man through Avengers: Endgame to life through premium playing cards. The Purple Edition anchors the collection as the Power Stone—Thanos's first and most coveted artifact. The iridescent cosmic foil on the tuck case was designed to capture the otherworldly essence of the Infinity Stones themselves.
Character Roster
Every court card in the deck features iconic MCU heroes rendered in custom artwork by Russ Gray (under creative direction from Ty Mattson). Iron Man in his Nano Gauntlet armor, Thor and Hulk in their Ragnarok attire, Captain America, Black Panther, Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Hawkeye (alongside his Ronin alter ego), and Ant-Man all appear across the face cards. The Aces are especially detailed, with subtle character callbacks: Doctor Strange's Eye of Agamotto (Ace of Spades), Vision's Mind Stone (Ace of Diamonds), the Winter Soldier's red shoulder star (Ace of Clubs), and Gamora's double-sided switchblade (Ace of Hearts). The two Jokers feature Marvel's trickster god Loki and the Mad Titan Thanos himself—embodying the series' central conflict between mischief and tyranny.

Printed by USPCC on Crushed Stock with a traditional cut, the Purple Edition handles beautifully for magic, cardistry, or display. The back design features intricate Avengers iconography rendered in white against a deep purple inset—Infinity Gauntlets, spider webs, tiny Hawkeye arrows, and Dr. Strange's protection circles all weave together. The tuck case, printed by the legendary Studio On Fire, represents Theory11 at its absolute finest: iridescent cosmic foil, gold embossed accents, and a design rich with Marvel symbology (Captain America's shield, Thor's hammer, Black Widow's hourglass, Iron Man's reactor, and Hawkeye's crosshair).
