Bicycle playing cards were first introduced in 1885 by the United States Playing Card Company, quickly becoming the standard for quality in homes, casinos, and magic shows. The Rider Back design — instantly recognizable for its symmetrical, winged imagery — remains the brand’s flagship, though Bicycle has released countless limited editions, specialty decks, and themed designs over the years.
Known for their Air-Cushion® finish and enduring durability, Bicycle cards have been trusted by generations of players and collectors. Whether you’re seeking a reliable workhorse deck or a prized addition to your collection, Bicycle continues to represent the perfect balance of tradition and innovation.

Bicycle 807 vs 808 vs 809 Explained
The cards in this 808 deck are identical to the 807 version — same stock, same air-cushion finish, same faces. The only difference is the tuck box: 808 uses the modern “Standard” tuck, while 807 uses the classic “Rider Back” tuck (often preferred by magicians and collectors). Bicycle 809 is the different Mandolin Back design (special mandolin-themed back pattern).
Why It Matters
Bicycle’s Rider Back decks are living history — timeless, reliable, and essential for any serious card player, magician, or collector.
